This is the official subreddit of Coin Forest. We collect the passion of bitcoiners to combine purchasing power, and approach companies who should be accepting Bitcoin. --- Coin Forest is the worlds largest Bitcoin company, and is widely credited with the rise of Bitcoin. A fitting analogy: If Satoshi Nakamoto is Bilbo, Coin Forest is Frodo. {disclaimer: the preceding is extremely overstated}

"Is Bitcoin Maximalism dead? It is an open secret that many ""Maximalists"" in fact shill Altcoins, or accept Altcoins in their "Bitcoin" business; some have even sold ERC ICOs. Who still holds the line on actual 'Maximalism', per se? Is there a list somewhere?"

My uncle who told me Bitcoin is a scam 6 months ago asked me today if I knew how to set up an account for his furniture outlets to accept Bitcoin and Ethereum here in California

Adoption is coming guys! It will take time but it’s coming New currencies are replacing old fashioned fiat. Borderless ones!
You ever tried pulling money from ATM while traveling abroad? Did you encounter the crazy fees?
That was the selling point of crypto for my uncle.
I was gonna recommend coinbase for him but the fees are high. Any recommendations guys?

Is there a list of larger merchants who accept Bitcoin payments **without** using a payment processor?

Every news article I see:
"XXXXX has started accepting Bitcoin (using Bitpay as a payment processor)"

Can anyone share some bullish news on large retailers that are truly operate on the peer-to-peer Bitcoin blockchain?

"I would take my salary in Bitcoin if merchants accepted it." The way Bitcoin wins is if WE show demand for the merchants who ALREADY DO accept it. 10,000's of merchants accept Bitcoin, but we can't find them online. Screw another website tracking price. We need a website that facilitates trade.

If you think that this ecosystem is too big for you to make an impact, you're sadly mistaken. The guy who started Coinmarketcap.com was a college kid living in Brooklyn.
It's up to us to build the future. It's up to us to drive demand. Many merchants offer a discount for paying in Bitcoin - Fuck it, I'd gladly pay 5% more if you let me pay in Bitcoin.
Create a website. Make a little database search. Email merchants asking if they want to be listed.
Get popular, make a millino bucks no problem.
Microsoft was started in a garage. Coinmarketcap was started by a guy who bought a website domain sitting in his bedroom.

@cz_binance: The problem is, most who are sophisticated enough to use bitcoin would choose to #hodl it. I guess unless it's a business that only accepts BTC/crypto, there are still very few of those. Early days. https://t.co/DWKW2upyNR

So, I have an employee, who is camping with a higher up at PepsiCo and word is Pepsi has new machines that will accept Bitcoin from a phone. I just told my friend to talk to him about Nano.

I told him how slow and clunky and chargy Bitcoin is, and explained why Nano would be perfect for soda machines. I told my guy to tell the Pepsi dude, I can put him in direct contact and even set up a meeting with the right Nano people to make this happen. He told me he'd tell me how it goes.
Why am I sharing this? Because it's our job to spread the word about a currency. Use your contacts to get Nano out there.

Hi guys! I'm a video DirectoProducer who is now accepting Bitcoin for video production work! If anyone needs any video production keep me in mind :) I've worked for VICE, Rolling Stone, Porsche, Adidas and more!
Hey guys, first time poster, long time Bitcoin follower here. I wanted to let the Bitcoin community know that I'm a video director who is now accepting Bitcoin for any video production services :)
I've been following the Bitcoin story for a couple of years now but started really diving in last year after I was hired as a cinematographer on a Bitcoin documentary project. I'm now totally obsessed. I believe Bitcoin will be a global currency! And I'm hoping John McAfee doesn't have to eat his own member on television :)
If you end up needing video production, my specialty is documentary, commercials, branded content, live video for Facebook/YouTube, 360/VR and pretty much any form of digital video content. I've done work for VICE, Rolling Stone, Esquire, Complex, NBC, Intercope Records, and brands like Porsche, Apple, LG, Adidas, Pepsi, The United Nations, TEDx and many others.
If anyone on here ends up needing video production keep me in mind :)
Or if anyone has any video related questions at any time and need some guidance on video - feel free to reach out and I'm happy to help as best I can :)
Thanks!
-Sam

Hello Reddit, I'm a small business owner who recently started learning about bitcoins. I own a restaurant bar and figured the best way to learn is to become part of the community. I just finished signing up with bitpay and we're now accepting bitcoins :) where to go from now?

I pay way to much in credit card processing and like the idea behind bit coin very much. I would appreciate any tips, suggestions or just plain old advise you guys might have for me, PS i'm in the NE area of Jersey.
